Irlanda: In Athlone, on the 25th of March, the PDDM community had the official opening of the ‘Mother Scholastica Year’. The sisters were joined with some of the sisters from the Dublin community, the Adorers, friends, benefactors and members of some local religious orders. An hour of prayer with the thoughts of Mother Scholastica was beautifully led by the community, which was followed by the celebration of solemn Evening Prayer with Benediction. As the prayer of the psalms ascended to God, we presented our gratitude and thanksgiving to God for Mother Scholastica. Benediction was given by Fr. Andrew, O. Carm. Everyone was then invited to the Alberione Hall where a short creative presentation was made on the life of Mother Scholastica, a journey through words and photos
Irlanda - Dublin: On the 24th of March 2007, the community of the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master, together with Society of St. Paul, our brother Brian from the Institute of St. Gabriel the Archangel, and numerous friends and benefactors were reunited in prayer and thanksgiving for the life of Mother Scholastica to our Congregation and to the whole Church. For many, it was an opportunity to come closer to our dear mother who is still relatively unknown on this isle. The day began with a celebration of the Eucharist, presided by Fr. Vincent Gnarackatt SSP. Deacon Siji Pannakathil, also SSP proclaimed the Gospel. Fr. Vincent shared with us his moving personal experience of how the life of Mother Scholastica touched his life, underlying the many virtues which she possessed and which can serve as an example to each one of us as we strive to follow her.
There was an active participation in the liturgy by all, the joyful singing and music adding to the solemnity of the event. This was followed by a presentation using videos and a PowerPoint of the life and vocation of Mother Scholastica. Our friends had many questions and were eager to know more about her and pray to her for their various needs. Some of the sisters then shared their personal testimony of having known Mother Scholastica which was a great richness for everyone. The celebration concluded with the traditional ‘cup of tea’ and light refreshments, with an invitation for all to join with us for the ‘Hour of Prayer with Mother Scholastica which will be taking place each month.

Italia - Firenze: La Comunità formativa di Firenze ha vissuto la celebrazione dell’inizio dell’anno dedicato a Madre Scolastica con una Veglia di preghiera, tenuta sabato 24 marzo, nella Cappella Divin Maestro, a cui hanno partecipato le sorelle della Comunità S. Maria del Fiore di Firenze, mons. Benito Marconcini dell’Istituto Gesù Sacerdote e la famiglia Nincheri dell’Istituto Santa Famiglia. La veglia è stata presieduta da Don Guido Gandolfo della Società San Paolo e animata dalle giovani e da Sr. Daniela con il suono della chitarra e della cetra. È stata una celebrazione intima ma vissuta profondamente e con grande commozione, nel ricordo della nostra cara Madre e nella lode gioiosa a Dio per questo prezioso frutto del suo amore donato a tutta la Famiglia Paolina e in modo particolare a noi Pie Discepole di Gesù Maestro.
Polonia - Il giorno 24 marzo, nella casa provinciale e nelle altre nostre comunità abbiamo iniziato l'anno dedicato a Madre Scolastica, al mattino con la celebrazione eucaristica, servendoci anche dei sussidi preparati dalla "Commissione Anno M. Scolastica". Alla sera ci siamo incontrate per pregare "insieme con Madre Scolastica" leggendo alcuni brani dal libro "Signore, tu solo e basta" e cantando i canti ispirati alla vita di M. Scolastica di Sr. M. Cecilia Wilk.
Fuori della cappella è stata messa l'immagine di Madre Scolastica decorata con fiori, mettendo a disposizione piccole immaginette con i suoi pensieri per la gente che viene da noi e al nostro Centro Liturgico. In tutta la provincia abbiamo deciso di vivere il 24 di ogni mese una "giornata con Madre Scolastica". La nostra commissione per la spiritualità prepara i sussidi per questi momenti di preghiera. Ogni mese desideriamo fare qualche cosa di diverso per conoscere di più e far conoscere la nostra amata Madre Scolastica.
